The story so far:Jio Platforms Limited made its market debut on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday (October 28, 2026), after an overwhelming response from investors, at a premium of 21% to its issue price.

The stock ended nearly 26% higher on its opening day and extended gains by another 5% on Thursday (October 29, 2026).

Jio’s stock market debut marks a significant milestone for India’s telecom and technology sector.

Since entering the industry a decade ago, it has transformed the country’s telecom landscape through aggressive pricing, large-scale network expansion and a growing digital services ecosystem.

However, with its public listing, investors are now looking beyond subscriber numbers to understand what will drive the company’s next phase of growth.
