The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) on Friday said its Business Analytics Platform (BAP) has been upgraded to facilitate an integrated, streamlined and enhanced platform for regulatory reporting and health product related functionalities.
Functionalities related to submission of health regulatory returns, generation of unique identification numbers (UINs) for new health insurance products and modification to existing health covers have been incorporated into the health module of the BAP, it said in a circular advising the insurers concerned to make use of the facility.
With effect from November 2, all insurers concerned should generate UINs for new health insurance products and modifications to existing health products, and submit updates relating to withdrawal of the products only through the module of the BAP portal.
