Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday (October 28, 2026) alleged that the Tata Group is being “criminally destroyed” and questioned the silence of business leaders over the ongoing issue.

He asserted that "we will ensure justice for these crimes".

Mr.

Gandhi's latest remarks — marking the first time the Congress has spoken out on the battle within the Tata Group — come amid a bitter dispute over Tata Sons' leadership.

The conflict has already split trustees and spilled into the Tata Sons boardroom as well.

Earlier this week, Tata Trusts chairperson Noel Tata challenged the resolution to reappoint N.

Chandrasekaran as the chairperson of Tata Sons, which was passed at the September 17 board meeting of the holding company of the country's largest conglomerate.

Tata Trusts, which holds a 66% stake in Tata Sons, has termed this reappointment and decision as illegal since Noel Tata vetoed it.

"Tata is being criminally destroyed, and no business leader dares say a word.

How long will you stay silent?

Until they own you?" Mr.

Gandhi wrote in a post on X.

Tata is being criminally destroyed, and no business leader dares say a word.

How long will you stay silent?

Until they own you?

Indian business is not Modi and Shah's plaything.

You lack courage.

We don't.

We will ensure justice for these crimes.

The LoP also called out the business leaders over the lack of “courage”, saying that “Indian business is not Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah's plaything”.

"You lack courage.

We don't.

We will ensure justice for these crimes," he added.

There was no immediate reaction from the government or Tata Group on Mr.

Gandhi's allegations.
